Had a great time at the Scrapbook expo in Santa Clara yesterday. One of these years, we really need to get a group together and stay in the hotel there. Shop all day (or until the money runs dry) and scrapbook and make cards all night.
Stampin' Up! had a great booth there. They were handing out the new Holiday Mini and demonstrating the new Simply Scored Scoring Tool that comes out on September 1st. I have the Martha Stewart one but it's getting replaced. I'll show you why in September....
My favorite new tool is the Epiphany Craft Shape Studio! This little guy allows you to make coordinating buttons WITH THE SCRAPBOOK PAPER you are using. Here is a link to a video from CHA. I purchased the round button that coordinates with my Stampin' Up! Button Buddies stamp set (shown above). You might have a difficult time finding this tool. I'm submitting a request to Stampin' Up! to carry them.
Are you looking for scrapbook kits that are simple, beautiful, AND cost effective? Check out Memories for the Making. They have kits ranging from $5 - $10. They use famous maker paper such as BoBunny and Bazzil. I was really impressed with the quality of the paper used.
Last but definitely not least, I found the most wonderful scissors. My right hand has started giving me troubles. Not sure if it is arthritis, but I'm pretty sure it is. My hand locks up when I grip scissors or other objects to long. These scissors are not new but I used them at a Make and Take and really enjoyed how they felt. I couldn't find them at the Expo but stopped at Michaels on the the way home and picked up a pair with my 40% off coupon.
Hope you enjoyed this post and find these ideas helpful. It's time to take the kids to soccer practice. I hope to be back soon to post some new creations. Have a GREAT weekend!
